Sentient Systems Ltd

About
Sentient Systems Ltd is an independent systems engineering consultancy providing specialised engineering support and expertise to organisations engaged in the specification, development, manufacture or use of advanced engineering systems.

Since being formed in 1982, Sentient Systems has steadily grown, establishing a permanent staff of over 20 experienced, highly skilled and motivated engineers dedicated to the success of our clients’ programmes.

Sentient Systems is based in Wimborne Minster, a small market town on the south coast of England. With good transport links to Europe as well as the rest of the UK, we are able and willing to work either from our offices or alongside our clients at their facilities anywhere in the world.

Strategy
Sentient Systems’ core strategy is one of Customer Centred Consultancy. We maintain strong relationships with our clients and are always willing to discuss partnering agreements to provide our services. Sentient Systems’ customer base is continually growing and includes many of the world’s premier engineering companies.

Financial
Sentient Systems is a wholly independent company, not funded by any form of venture capital and is based upon a robust financial model. This model includes significant re-investment of profit into core skills, technology and tools.

Industry Involvement
Sentient Systems’ engineers are kept aware of likely changes in legislation and standards and advances in technology and are therefore able to advise our clients of such factors when providing assistance. Such involvement includes being members of the Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) and the DStan Helpdesk organisation for matters relating to ILS, R&M Safety and Testing. We are also keen supporters of the Institute of Electrical Engineers (IEE) and the Safety and Reliability Society. We actively encourage our engineers to join such bodies and, where possible, to submit technical papers. We also attend and present papers at many of the varied conferences and symposia within our sphere of interest.
